I was born into a military family, so growing up was a positive and enriching experience for me. We moved frequently, and did quite a bit of traveling. I feel fortunate to have seen many different places, and was not confined to a particular town while growing up.
After high school, I entered the military and served for 8 years as a United States Marine. I again traveled a great deal and was fortunate to have seen other countries of the world. My only regret is that I did not capture the moments in my life that help define who I am. I have one small box of pictures, which does not adequately represent my travels and my life in the Marines.
I came to Chicago and decided to capture my life here, so that if I ever leave, I can look back on it with some tangible memories. One year for Christmas I requested a digital camera to ensure I started that process. Since then, I have discovered my love and passion for photography. I now not only take pictures to record my life here, but as an artistic means to capture the city in a unique and beautiful way.
